Join us in welcoming our newest member to the growing Sales team. Chris Illingworth will be joining Judy Johnson and Matthew Cox in increasing and strengthening our partner base as well as helping our current partners achieve further growth and create true valued partnerships.

Job title: Channel Account Manager 

Previous role: Head of Sales & Marketing – FACTCO

Top achievement from the previous role?

From receiving a speculative telephone call from a resident to orchestrating a 2,512 property fibre build with 82% uptake, delivering £1.1m annual revenue on a 3-year contract.

What key skills do you bring to IPCortex? 

A wealth of structured sales knowledge, with an infectious enthusiasm to succeed.

Best characteristic? 

I don’t take myself too seriously.

What has been the best thing about IPCortex so far? 

The people and the ambitions of the company.

What do you hope to achieve in year 1? 

To source, onboard and develop a whole new network of partners in the North, that suit the business capabilities and ultimately achieve targets.

What message would you like to share with partners? 

We provide hosted telephony, done their way!

Favourite memory over the last 5 years? 

My 5-year-old’s face and celebration on winning all races on his first sports day, we trained for two weeks prior, and he let me know he’d won for at least four weeks post-event.

If you had a superpower what would it be? 

Time Travel, where do I start? or should that be when!

If you were an Avenger which one would you be?

Doctor Stange for the foresight, not too far ahead though, maybe next Friday’s euro millions!

Favourite sports team?

Liverpool FC, which I have supported from the age of 8 when I met Sir Kenny and had a tour of the stadium.

Favourite sports team memory? 

Winning the premiership even though the lockdown spoilt the celebrations somewhat!

Favourite movie and why? 

Shawshank Redemption, it’s an excellent case study of the need for hope and perseverance.
