Life at IP Cortex

IPCortex is a rapidly expanding innovator, applying open Internet technologies like SIP, XMPP and WebRTC to create solutions that provide positive benefits to organisations and wider society.

There are no shortcuts to creating great products and a brilliant company culture. It’s important to us that every employee is empowered to make a difference within their spheres of expertise, so we operate a flat organisational structure. Simply put, we employ the smartest people we can and treat them like adults working in small, accountable teams to decompose problems and produce the best possible solutions as effectively as they can.

Our main office base is just south of Milton Keynes and we also have a London base at TechHub within Google Campus near Old Street Station in London.

What you can expect from us

Purpose is important to us. Yes, we want to make innovative software but more importantly, we are passionate about making people’s lives better through good communication. Everything we do furthers our mission: advancing the art and application of open, inclusive real-time communication between individuals to provide positive benefits to the organisations and the wider society they participate in.

Every employee is empowered to make a difference within their spheres of expertise and we operate a flat organisational structure. Simply, we employ the smartest people we can and treat them like adults working in small, accountable teams to decompose problems and produce the best possible solutions as effectively as they can.

The things we offer include:

  • Happy workplace - we are an informal small company environment where being smart and productive are all that matter. No PHBs and no pointless bureaucracy.
  • Flexible hours and working location - the only thing that matters is that the job gets done through a strong individual contribution rather than where/when so hours and working location are negotiable. Some roles may be less inherently flexible than others but we try to apply individual job constraints in a sensible way.
  • Childcare friendly - childcare vouchers and flexible working available.
  • Secure cycle parking & showers, hassle free on-site car parking - we have lots of cyclists on the staff so there is good provision for commuting on two wheels. If you need to drive here, that's fine too with ample free on-site parking.
  • Private medical insurance.
